so they can do their pooping. A reasonable request to dog owners!! Take your dog outside and walk your dog around your yard, front yard, back yard, side yard where ever you like on your property until the dog poops. After the dog is done pooping make sure you pick up the poop and then take your dog for a walk on YOUR BLOCK. Recently I noticed a owner who lives in the Village of Ashland on Haretison Ave walk his medium to large dog several houses down his block and make a turn onto Crawford Court walk several houses down and now his dog is pooping on my neighbors lawn. I mean really don't you feel bad your walking your dog and your dog is pooping on other peoples property. Why not allow your dog to poop on your next door neighbors lawn or the people that live accross the street from you. Please don't walk your dog 2 blocks away from your house and allow your dog to poop on someone elses lawn. We the Homeowners, Your Neighbors who live in The Villages pay to maintain our lawns. Watering, Cutting, fertilzing, etc. etc. just like you do. We really don't want your dog pooping on our lawns. THIS MESSAGE GOES OUT TO ALL DOG OWNERS.
Like I said earlier WAlK YOUR DOG ON YOUR PROPERTY TO DO IT'S POOPING!!!!
NOT YOUR NEIGHBORS LAWN!!! Thank You in Advance.

I suppose that everyone has pet peeves (this is appropriate - the PET - DOG - in pet peeves). But, this one (that resurfaces every month) always catches me by surprise. A yard is one of the last things that I would be SUPER particular about. I would WORRY that my car was NOT shined to a mirror-like perfection before I would expect perfection from my yard. I would worry that my computer desk was NOT NEAT enough (it isn't) before I'd worry about excrement on my yard. I would worry about a rust spot on my bicycle before excrement on my yard. A rust spot on a bicycle will get worse once it starts, but dog excrement will stop smelling (on its own) after about 1 day, and rain or people's sprinkler systems will QUICKLY melt it into the soil.
........I like to see the various dogs walk by my home - it reminds me of my youth when all the neighborhood kids and dogs ran around free and easy. Drivers never sped through the neighborhood streets (like the professional grass cutters here today do) and the dogs somehow knew to stay away from moving cars. It seemed more natural then. My parents worried about the Korean War then and whether flying saucers were real. Dog excrement was NEVER mentioned except to let the dog out when it scratched at the door (it was communicating and where the dog went to do his business, was HIS business. Ah yes the good old days......to be continued.
