The In Area Passes are issued for 365 days, I doubt they are being used that much because most of the children holding these passes are working or attending school for most of the day. Someone else living here might have several children visting from out of area with no restriction on having to be with them using up much more time using the facilities, ( You can only get a 30 day pass for them but it is my understanding that you can just go renew it over and over again). I have attended some of these focus meetings and have heard some of the members state the biggest problem with the passes are where the Villigers themselves apply for passes for their friends that live close by and use a false address for them. What about all the people that oppose the in area passes for the children of residents and then petition for more Dog Parks in the Villages. Are these parks being paid for by our ammenity fees? If we truly want equality then let the ammenity fees for everything be based on usage. I'm sure my fee and the snowbird fees would be quite abit less than all those that use the golf courses here.

The ammenity fees cover much more than golf, although golf seems to be the thorn in most sides. We don't use many of the ammenities and do golf some, but not as much as those doing all the complaining. We have been to the pools probably less than a dozen times in the 5+ years we've been here.
You can get the out-of-area pass renewed for those over the age of 19 every 30 days, but younger ones are limited to 30 days per year visits and must always be accompanied by someone over 19 when using any of the ammenities. You're right, as I said before, most of the in-area ones spend very little time here because they have other things to do besides hang with granma and granpa, unlike we used to do. Most of this came about, not because of those families, but because of the
residents who are circumventing the system for their friends.
I'm not sure how the dog parks are funded, but I would think that it would be part of what the bond monies are for.
That's just a guess on my part. As for it being part of the ammenities, so long as they are not open to the public, I have no problem with that. Some play with dogs and don't golf. I don't do dog parks, but do golf some.
Much of this has been blown out of proportion, anyway. We are not overrun with guests, either in-area or out. Anyone who owns property in TV pays for the ammenities whether they choose or are able to use them or not. This is the reason we have nice places to take our guests when they do visit. As for paying, guests
do pay a green fee + trail fee to play golf whether it is one of the championship courses or an executive course. Only the
residents play the executive courses for free and even they pay a trail fee, either: each time they play, annually, or through the priority membership fee if they bought that to play the championship courses or participate in their tournaments.
