There was just a big talk about lithium battery recycling at the Tesla club meeting on Wednesday. They can get 95% of the lithium, cobalt, and nickel out of a car battery pack (or any lithium battery pack....computers, tools, lawnmowers, etc) and reuse in a new battery. In the US with all of the US regulations (OSHA, EPA, all of that stuff). It's pretty amazing how much of the old batteries we are able to recycle now.
