First of all, I wasn't insulting indigenous people. It isn't their day of remembrance, it's a contrived holiday instituted by the forerunners of what we call "woke" today---
"It began as a counter-celebration held on the same day as the U.S. federal holiday of Columbus Day, which honors Italian explorer Christopher Columbus. Some people reject celebrating him, claiming that he represents "the violent history of the colonization in the Western Hemisphere".[2]

Secondly, don't delude us or yourself---we all know what "woke" means, and it certainly is not the opposite of asleep in this context.
