It took years to find stuff for us that would replace things we like, and now being in TV it's even worse. The middle of Florida is nothing but blah, it's cracker heaven which actually is better than beach side.

Borrom line don't expect anything and you'll be happier.
Because it never occurred to us that the foods we eat WOULDN'T be here. I mean, I've lived in Florida before, outside Ft. Lauderdale. Everything the OP is looking for, DECENT pizza, Chinese food, deli roast beef sandwiches - is all right there. There are Jewish delis you can get excellent pastrami and mouth-wateringly-delicious rye bread, belly lox and smoked sable...

If you can get it in Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami, and Tampa, and West Palm, why can't you get it in The Villages? The answer: The Villages is not a diverse area, therefore there's no call for authentic diverse dining options. Why do we assume it would be here when we move here? Answer: we are products of our environment and never expect drastic differences when we move to another part of the same country that is known to have a population that comes from EVERYWHERE.

I mean even Delray Beach now has a Frank Pepe Pizzeria.
