At 1st it seemed to be like you described, but after thinking about it, this idea makes sense. They are not telling us what we can do or not do. They are giving their shoppers a choice. Dimming the lights might be a good idea in the long run. Personally, I like lower light. Might be a good business decision. Might get more customers in the stores at this time of the day. Time will tell.
