Yeah, because of my "amazing memory," my fun hobby evolved into a career that gave me much joy. My books and I have been featured on PBS' "History Detectives," CBS "Sunday Morning," and several other national programs. It was a good run. I had a blast.
That "amazing memory" comes with a splash of autism. To answer your question, loud noises (and lawn mowers and leaf blowers ) are very disruptive and disturbing. I'm grateful for the quietude of The Villages - and it IS quiet - most of the time!
It's part of the reason I'm here.
