I'm currently in another state using t-mobile internet at two houses.
At one house, in a remote location with poor cell reception, T-Mobile provides about 80Mbps. At the other, in a suburb and with good reception, T-Mobile is providing about 500Mbps.
The device you are testing from makes a big difference. At the fast location my iphone tells me 500Mbps while my tablet tells me 100Mbps.
Down there it is possible that the network is getting full and speeds are lower due to network limitations.

Why do people insist on making claims without looking them up first, do they really think no one will check? Proof by emphatic assertion rarely works.
Confirmation bias is real; I can find any number of articles that say so.
