We had sleds, tobogans, tires, pogo sticks, skates, ten-speed bikes, skate boards, big wheels, hot rods, jumped from trees, back flipped into a pile of leaves, and even drove parents' cars when not watching,..You name it! We were in!
Yes! We were ABSOLUTELY reckless and carefree. At that age, you believe nothing can or will happen to you. We gave our stay-at-home mothers quite a scare. Together, with our friends, we shared broken arms, wrists, legs, bruises, dog bites, swollen ankles....
Kids don't need a golf cart to do something stupid. All they need is curiosity, imagination, and peer pressure. Some are going to do something dangerous-just for the fun of it. You can count on it!
