Cloud and contrails are not the same.
Modern solar panels work on light.
Sunny will give best power output.
Cloudy lower power output, but still work.
Solar panels work in UK, and we have a public holiday if sun shines!
As for cheap Chinese garden lights, it's a wonder they work at all.
