I agree the word WASTED is an unfortunate choice. However, as an Aunt of now 3 nephews in the military....Marines, Army and Navy. And the Aunt of a Purple Heart recipient I would have preferred his life be put a risk to defend the USA not to nation build. And certainly not because the VP was ****ed off that the job hadn't been finished the first time.

My nephew's service should not be diminished in any way by the conflict in which he served.
