There are a few things that separate them into 2 groups.
1. Non-electric can be thought of as a hose with a unique nozzle. Still need some TP to dry off. Controls are typ along the side of the rear of the seat. If purchasing because of a medical/mobility reason, consider an electric one.
2. Electric types add features. Most significant is heated air to dry you off. Other features are remote control, multiple spray patterns, automated nozzle movements, heated water, heated seat, bowl cleaning spray.
The heated water can be via a small built-in tank, or on-demand tankless heat.
Most people never use TP anymore.
Requires a standard GFCI outlet.
