They tear or get sticky as the vinyl decays in the sun. DON’T try to remove the old trim. Just slice off the old gasket with a box cutter and nail the new trim over the old trim. That’s what the pros do. If you are good with your hands, this is an easy project. The trim pieces will cost you about $60, and you will save $200.
