I suspect/guess dead short from wire hot off battery? Original equipment or aftermarket add on? Vibration causes things to shake and let’s face it gas golf cart vibrates like old ringer washing machine. Wise to look for loose wires and wires rubbing against metal. Or it could have just be failure of electrical components wire directly to battery. Really only few things that can cause fire, electrical short or gas fumes ignition? Gas vehicles have been blazing since model T From failures, neglect, and collisions.

As tinker pointed out most Yamaha gas golf carts have over charging problem? A factor or not who knows?
