OP posted that the owner just filled the golf cart, didn’t tighten the gas cap, gas ran onto the engine starting a fire.
Then owner posted that was not what happened, had been 6 days since fill up, and alway checks cap, fire wasn’t investigated, so no official cause of how fire started.
It’s definitely conflicting information, unless OP is talking about a different cart, that was invested and proven as a loose gas cap that caused the fire. Then again, if there is nothing left of the cart, how does one predict cause of fire. Not an adjuster, and have zero knowledge of what would have ignited the fire. Just seems that because gas leaks on the engine there still has to be a spark to cause fire
