It's not more secure at all. The card and the scanned card is the same. The barcode is ultimately what determines if things are valid. A fake card can be produced just as easily as a digital image can be modified.
It's not like this is a passport to get into the country, it's a verification that someone is allowed to use a pool. Not something to get all worked up about and start being a snitch on the Villages employees that are using common sense. Let the Villages employees do their jobs and MYOB.
