I, too thought that was a great idea. One morning I showed up for my early morning (7:30 or so) tee time, whipped out my phone, and was told it was unacceptable. The starter said I needed the actual card. I argued that if I had the picture of my ID and. I was in their computer system, I was “legal.” She, again, insisted that I had to have the ID to play, so I told her I was going home. She said wait a minute, turned to the other course starter, said something, was handed a clipboard by the other starter with the order to “Write her up.” So, I got “written up” and I have no idea what that means. Several months later, hoping to learn a little more about the tee time system, I went to Golf School. It was clearly stated in the class that you must always have your ID with you and that a photo of the ID was unacceptable.
I called TV to see if I could get another ID to have in my golf bag since I don’t carry a wallet with me to play golf, and was told no. Only one ID per person. So, there you have it.
