Reacher is a delightful series. I taught Detective Fiction for twenty-five years, and my students loved the Reacher novels. I enjoyed them, but thought they were not distinguished by literary style. The actor playing Reacher in this series is just right. He seems like a man of honor and a genuinely nice guy, even though his choice to be an extreme loner suggests some severe psychological problems. I enjoy his soft-spoken ways. I would not like to live the way he lives.
