Every few months a feature writer, blogger, etc. comes to The Villages to write a story about the world's largest retirement community. Invariably, they end up at the City Fire at Lake Sumter and "interview" some of the patrons drinking their afternoon beers at the outside bar. The discussion always turns to the stories the writer has heard about the sexual mores of TV's residents. The "good ole boys" set down their beers and spin a tall tale for the writer. The one about loofahs is the latest in a long string. The writers know that they are being "put on", but need the story in order to get their article published. It seems that their editors require a discussion about the sexual mores of seniors before they will publish an article about The Villages.
