Actually, it was the cardiologist who was a close personal friend noticed that there may be some dementia issues. Due to family issues, an elder care office was recommended.

The elder care offices use Dementia DSWs. Who do pre evaluation for, Language, skills, visual, perception, attention, problem-solving, skills, movement senses, balance, reflexes, in an environment that the person is comfortable, and familiar with.

Then if needed proceed to an appointment with Neurologist for further evaluation, where and not limited to test provided:
CT, MRI, or Pet scans, and blood work, ordered.

From there medication evaluated, when needed.

Our neurologist is also close personal friend, who guided us the entire process. Saves his NP time, and will use evaluation to move patient into Neurologist next available appointment.
