Apparently there are DIY kits on Amazon around $100. And basically easy to do.
We just watched a neighbor have a plumber, that hooked up the system, then sat in his truck for half hour while it’s being flushed. Cost was $300, although couple have had it done with a plumber for $250.
Then there is a guy ( always a guy in everyone’s neighborhood) charging $100.

We used these (Rinaii) in the laundromats I managed; usually 6 per store. The quality of the town's water determined the frequency of flushing. Some stores needed it every 4 to 6 months; others could go 2 years. If you have a quality filtering system I'd expect you can get longer than 1 year. Be certain to clean the stainless steel screens on the inlet valve if they need it.
