I agree with the first part - I doubt that it would ever be considered. But I disagree with the second part. There is enough room.
The first hole is 59 yards and the second hole is 65 yards. When you add the walk from the first hole to the second hole, that is at least another 30 yards.
Third and fourth are 97 and 74.
Fifth and sixth are 57 plus 58.
Seventh and eighth are 105 and 104.
Ninth and tenth are 110 and 65.
Eleventh and twelfth are 59 and 91.
Thirteenth and fourteenth are 90 and 55.
Fifteenth and sixteenth are 78 and 60.
Seventeenth are eighteenth are 82 and 72.
