A replacement tank is about $50 the gauge and adapter another $30 but now you get rid of the yearly service call. A little time on the internet can save a lot of dollars. Having replaced many of them, I am not a fan of the way the construction plumbers mounted them standing on top of 3/4" CPVC. The photo I've attached is much more substantial, given the fact that the tank will fail (not if, but when).
