I just read every word on that web page, of the post that I responded to. It's mostly about pedestrians on roads pertain to CROSSING the roads. There's verbiage about not being permitted to walk on the road if there's a sidewalk adjacent (to answer coffeebean's question about Odell). There's verbiage about cars and other human-powered vehicles needing to take due care to avoid hitting pedestrians.

I don't see anything that specifies "private roads" are treated in any special way. However, MMPs aren't roads. They're multi-modal paths. Cars, trucks, and motorcycles are not permitted on them at all, and so cars, trucks, and motorcycles don't have any laws regarding what they can and cannot do while driving on them, and there are no laws about what rights pedestrians do and don't have with regards to cars, trucks, and motorcycles driving on MMPs.

When you're talking about the law, terminology and definitions really do matter. MMPs aren't roads, private or otherwise.
