If I were so inclined to run on a MMP, I would run on the right side ONLY if I had a mirror that attached to glasses or a helmet and I would run or stop on the grass to the right. The other possibility would be running on the right side and running on the grass to the left or stopping on the grass.
............Some have asked. "what about if there is no grass on either side of the MMP?" Then, I would pick another part of the MMP or forget the MMP entirely. In fact I would rather run or bike inside in a gym than on the MMP. But, as they say, "different strokes".
Runner will only run left side, you need to see what’s coming, to gage what is available if you need to make decisions. Would never run green unless I am trying out for cross country.
Running Tread is saved for heavy snow, downpours, or rehabbing an injury. Tread is like a gerbil on a wheel, you never go anywhere, and the scenery never changes. So never felt accomplished anything.

Like swimming in a short pool, never completely get enough strokes before the need to flip
