No idea how old you are but maybe the age demographic is why there is so much disparity of liking the south or not. I'm young for a Villager,I guess (54), and admittedly only very part time for at least 2 years. But I'm fine with things not at my fingertips. I'm 20-30 minutes from restaurants and shopping here in MA and have no issue with it. I figure by the time I'm old enough to be bothered, the south will have been built up enough.
