I was thinking in a manner very similar to you. I decided to stay with gas for the time being, even though the tax credit is attractive. First, I don't really need or want a street legal cart. Also, I think there is a likely breakthrough in battery technology forthcoming very soon that could make an electric cart much more desirable. To me the limited range and long recharge time are the downside to the electric cart. If the new tecnology is as claimed, both of these limitations will be overcome without increased cost. Until then, a gas cart gives me what I need in TV.
