August Rush. Black kid in wheelchair who walks fine in the story as well as in real life as far as I know. My younger brother married a former SEAL support team member. That is one of her kids.
I have heard a lot from them about mixed marriages and they got a lot of grief from both her family and some from ours. It was more though their experiences here in the Villages. This was ten or more years ago. My younger brother lived here in the Villages for a year and a half.
And many of the home care people we get are African-American. From all different places though as far as ethnic background.
