I too think The Villages are very safe and do not require cameras for security. The camera system I was inquiring about is specifically for monitoring the activity of neighbors that leave "gifts" (not the "P" word) on the grass both in front of my house and along the side wall out of site of my front door. 3-5 times per week, every week for the past 5 years. 12 months a year. Not exclusive to snowbirds. Equal opportunity for both permanent residents and snowbirds.
People within this Village have recommended a camera system to identify the gift-givers and address my desire to stop receiving gifts.
I e-mailed the manager of security cameras that works in Districtgov.org asking if there were guidelines or regulations before going forward.
Thank you all again.

I think you should consider the WYZE product line. You can purchase these one at a time and scale up as you are ready to expand. The small cameras are battery operated and depending on events, they can hold a charge for 3 months. You can purchase a package of two small 4x6” solar panels and never need to charge. Both you and wife can monitor on iPhone. I have expanded and added devices one at time and have doorbell camera, door lock, garage controller, and 4 other cameras. My total expense is less than $200. One you purchase first item, they almost annoy you with sales and offers.
