Its not JUST about the current tax rate: The future tax rate BASIS is dependent upon whether you are homesteaded there or not.
A homesteaded house has a 3% annual increase limit on the tax base, a non homesteaded house has an average 7% annual increase in the tax base.
So its not just about rates but also about basis. . .
