Some other hard rock bands that aren't in the squares are, The Edge Of Rock, and The Howlers. The Howlers play every week at City Fire, and The Edge Of Rock plays in clubs in surrounding towns. Relic is often suggested for hard rock but the night we went it was mostly mellow rock- Stevie Wonder, etc. with a few hard rock songs- Aerosmith, etc.
We got the chance to see Edge of Rock play at a driveway session in Monarch Grove a few weeks ago. They are a very good band and play a good assortment of classic rock. They even played a song by Head East which you almost never hear. They said that they had submitted a video to the powers that be for consideration to start playing the squares. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
