As you have every right to do. What a dull world if everyone agreed with everyone else about every thing! Onion rings, imho, should be crispy, hot and not gummy or greasey. Salt, pepper, season to ones personal taste. Condiments may, if one chooses, may include any sauce of one's preference. I personally like ketchup, tartar sauce, most of the various Tabasco flavors, malt vinegar, Wasabi and low sodium soy sauce, among others.
