water in TV
I also think the water in TV tastes just fine and is not particularly hard. I've also lived a lot of places. Realize that whatever you are used to is what tastes normal to you. Taste is very personal.
We use a Britta pitcher with charcoal filters that we keep in the fridge up north, but only "just in case" - right now we drink the Villages water from the tap. I personally can't tell the difference between Columbus, OH water and The Villages water. Will move the Britta pitcher down with us when we retire.
I have lived places where I thought the water did taste awful - usually well water. Got used to it after many months and then city water (chlorinated) would start to taste bad when I visited friends/family and smelled awful. Moved back to a city and vice versa.
I must say that the water at one of my daughter's apartments (Orlando close to Winter Park) had undrinkable (IMHO) water - tasted extremely salty to me. They disliked it also. Now she lives in Kissimmee and it tastes fine.
