Having just recently moved here, we've gotten the load of phone calls trying to sell us the varous "water systems." We didn't bite.

Our new neighbor has now gotten the calls and is kind of concerned about minerals building up in the pipes and slowing down the water flow etc. I figure that even if such a thing did happen it would take enough years that it wouldn't matter.

So... any thoughts?
