Yes, I follow you. I guess that is the reason why even though I leave a couple of homes empty for long periods of time - with security and property management while I’m away, I would never consider renting out. Up north especially, renters view the place they rent as their home. This concept always bewildered me because if you rent a car it is not “your car” so why would a place you rent be “your place”? In my view, it should be up to government services to provide shelter for those who can’t afford it. I’ll happily support charity, subsidy etc
to help out but on my terms.
