The electricity in the south is very stable and has not done things like you describe. I would start with warranty and with SECO and get the repair process started. That would be at no cost to you.
I have no flickers or any other indications that anything (ac, washer, dryer, fridge, etc) has just started or stopped.
I am guessing a loose connection in your power feed or breaker panel. That could be a hot wire or poor ground.
