Pretty disappointed in the conditions. The greens and the tee boxes are in bad shape.

They are either about to loose the greens or they are starting to “recover” ? Hard to say which ?

These courses are being pounded by A LOT of play (no news there) . When we arrived for an 11:32 tee time , there was ONLY ONE golf cart parking spot in the entire two long rows of spots . I have never seen that at this location in the past.

After speaking with the starter, we learned that there were “several groups” that were there waiting for their times.

Anyhow, it was another beautiful day weather wise and we got to play followed by lunch and a couple of beers !
Don’t throw MONEY at the problem . . . The Executive Leadership employed by The Villages who is responsible for Golf Course Management should be FIRED! Their replacement(s) will (1) Make necessary Organizational Changes, (2) Establish Priorities and (3) Direct & Empower those responsible for maintaining Golf Courses in good, playable condition. With the right leadership, golf course conditions can be improved and maintained within the current budget. Of course, those of us playing the courses need to do our part by fixing divots and ball marks.

Golfers shopping for homes in The Villages should NOT purchase a New Home in the Southern Areas. Rather, they should buy a pre-owned home in the Middle or Northern areas which have plenty of golf courses nearby.
