The actual people doing the warranty work on my windows (Romac, they took over from the original vendor), confirmed, in person, 20 years. Will they change their mind? Perhaps but for now they are honoring the 20 year warranty. How do I know this? They are in the process of replacing 3 windows with failed seals.

The only specific reference to the fogging of windows in on page 22 of the document, in which fogged windows are covered one year. However, there is another section in the document that states that the new house warranty does not limit any separate manufacturer's warranty. The real question is, who is the manufacturer of the windows and what does their written warranty say about the coverage for window fogging? Until we can get a copy of that warranty, no one really knows how long the fogging of windows is covered. The Villages warranty department has no authority to extend the new house warranty, unless they can cite the manufacturer's name and their written warranty.
