We brought my wife's mom down with us.
She had a stroke in April and we had to move fast as brining her home was not going to be an option

We searched & visited many homes within 40-50 miles.

Village of Homewood on Village property is very nice but expensive and do not accept medicaid.

Within 10-15 miles . . .
Lady Lake Specialty - Lady Lake. . . . relatively large . . seemed clean but something about it bothered us. Can't really put a finger on it.

Lake Harris Health Center - Leesburg. . . again kinda large . . very clean and we would have chose it but at the time we didn't know if we'd qualify for medicaid and it was $1500 more than our next choice

Arbor Village - Wildwood - again good size - less expensive but was crowded.

Further away - 20 miles plus
We looked at homes in Bushnell, Tavares, Clermont, Eustis.
Main reason we didn't opt for any of them is the distance.

We chose Arbor Village. Price and location were main factors.
My wife visits about 5 days per week AT DIFFFERENT times during the day.

As with anyone that does a job, some CNA's and nurses are better than others. I think no matter where you choose you will need to visit often.

My wife has no regrets with her decision

If you have any questions send me an e-mail @ ajarumbo@hotmail.com

In the mean time check out this website.

It was helpful to us

I also used http://www.healthgrades.com/ for evaluation of our final two selections.

If you need help with medicaid, contact Brenda Lee @ American Senior Financials. Their information is on the following site.
