Every new tv comes with instructions on properly grounding both an outdoor antenna coax and the mast.
Verify an installer does both or do the grounding yourself if you are confident in doing it. IMO, simply having the mast on or slightly in the group does not meet the requirements.
The Weather Club recently had their yearly presentation of protecting your home from lightning. Sometimes they give the same presentation to other clubs.
