I 100% agree that the CHSPT2ULTRA is a much better whole house surge protector and worth installing to replace the BRNSURGE, but both are Type-2 (your flyer is incorrect).

The ultra is larger (higher capacity) but is still wired to the panel, a Type-1 device would be between the service and panel, like what SECO would install.
