Default Popcorn ceiling ?
We are closing in December on a Villages home built in 1996. We are going to replace all the floor coverings, paint and may remove the popcorn ceilings.

We have popcorn ceiling in our home in TV now, built in 2000. I do not mind the popcorn and in talking to someone about removing the popcorn said there were different qualities of popcorn-some were more hardened and easier to paint than a softer kind that flaked. Does anyone have any experience with how easy (or hard) it would be to paint a ceiling applied in 1996?

We won't be in the home again until closing and are trying to make plans.
