Coming from a tobacco grower family, I can say smoking was much more prevalent while in the south than when living in the north.
Dad smoked a pipe brings back memories of that cherry sweet smoke. Father in law smoked quality cigars. If one has ever been around a true Cuban it’s very unique.
I didn’t like to smoke pipe or cigars, but smoking cigarettes in very young teens in the south was pretty normal. Quit at 29 on an extremely large $$$$ bet, after I won the bet I never went back to that 2 pack a day habit.

So I don’t mind when someone smokes an expensive cigar, and sometimes cigarette smoke can trigger maybe just a moment.

But what I haven’t been able to tolerate or get used to is the lack of hygiene in both male and female, covered up by tons of cheap perfumes and cologne. It’s just gagging between the scent and the body order that they think is covering the smells.
