OP, if you can get help, have your lawn mower loaded into your trunk and take it there.
If you cannot do that: do what is noted above, and I have found the carb cleaner works very well. The final item would be to drop the small tank where the float is located, drop the needle valve, spray with carb cleaner, reassemble and start the lawn mower. I have had to do this twice for a relative that seems to forget to clean and replace the air filter.
