Gary Corsair lived near the Villages and wrote a few books. One of these is about the Groveland Four. The other is about history of high school basketball in this area of Florida.

This was around Memorial Day of 2007. I would sometimes run into his wife and their dog at Doggie Doo Run Run before they moved north.
I met a number of people with connections to the rich and famous at that dog park like a man who worked high up in a certain house, a man whose daughter is listed rather prominently in credits for
Saving Private Ryan, a NYC retired labor lawyer, a retired DC patent lawyer, etc.
