Unfortunately, that's the way it is.
BTW, contact SECO before you close to set up a date (should be your actual closing date) for transferring the electricity account into your name, otherwise, you'll have no electric for that week also. They DO turn off the electric on the closing date if they don't hear from you. Then you wouldn't need the Directv portable dish either.
