Any worse than the AT&T and Verizon data breeches?
|
AT&T had a big one in 2021 which they tried to deny and never told their customers until a year later.
There has been no major breaches with Verizon other than individual cases at Verizon stores.
Out of all of them Verizon takes security the most serious but I still wouldn't give any cell carrier my social security number ever again.
I also wouldn't try to save a few bucks with ghetto carriers who don't offer proper sim swamp protection.
Verizon offers the most robust sim and number lock security.
Remember you get nothing for nothing in life so personally my one and only phone is not the area in my life that I cheap out.
Also Mint is owed by T-Mobile which is deprioritized and has the worst security and has the highest amount of low level employees who will sell your phone number sim swap.
But everyone says they have no problem with their budget carrier until there is a problem, then good luck.
But for each it’s own.
