By car, the best route is from Southern Oaks on Bexley Trail. Even in a car, you feel as if you are driving to the end of the earth and are tempted to check your gas gauge. Don't think about driving your own cart unless you live south of the Turnpike.
Most interestingly, on opening day, Bexley Trail as it neared the course, was blocked off with "Road Closed" signs. Thankfully, someone had moved the barricades enough to allow a car to squeeze through. The street from Bexley Tr to the clubhouse was, likewise, blocked.

As already stated above, I thought of it, I did it, and I'm doing it again tomorrow. from Lake Deaton (well north of the turnpike) it took 41 minutes, slightly longer than Glenview but shorter than Lopez, and OBH, and same as Hacienda Hills
