Cute little guy. Unfortunately they grow up to be not-so-cute big guys and and can cause a LOT of damage. A couple of years back we saw what they did near the Sharon Rose Wiechens nature preserve. There is some cleared land there abutting a golf course (can't remember the name). A herd of them had gone through there the evening before and had totally shredded the sod. Unfortunately they do more than just destroy land. They also destroy crops and spread disease. You can hunt or trap them at any time in Florida on public land subject to certain times and conditions, and (with permission of owner) on private land. No license required and no quota.
