We have Kin. The first year was an introductory rate since they were new to FL and ours went up the next year. We had to file a claim this year for a leak in the pan/bladder in our shower, which was ceramic tile. Tile had to be chipped up to make this determination and couldn’t be matched, so we had to rip all tile out of the shower. Kin only paid for the cost of the shower pan/bladder, shower floor, and 24” up the wall to be replaced; we had to pay for the rest of the shower. Is this what other insurance companies would’ve done? I don’t know as we have never filed a claim like this before. I have no idea if this will cause our insurance to increase this year at renewal, but fingers crossed it won’t. If it does, I’ll have to shop, but the claim may cause all insurance to be more. I have found FL insurance to be much, much higher than GA insurance, but there’s nothing that I can do about it, except pay it.
